The Deel Year in Review 2025 project explored multiple creative directions to bring Deel’s annual performance data to life through motion design. The goal was to translate complex company milestones and statistics into engaging, shareable social content while staying aligned with brand expectations.
Concept 1 — Fantastical Narrative (Exploratory)
The first iteration leaned into a highly cinematic, AI-driven approach, using surreal and fantastical scenes to frame Deel’s growth as an epic journey. I generated environments using Google Labs Whisk and Flow, then enhanced select scenes in Blender, integrating custom graphics such as the $17.3B valuation moment and the Forbes Cloud Top 10 recognition.
While visually ambitious, this direction was ultimately shelved for feeling too AI-forward for the brand’s tone.
Concept 2 — Product-in-Use Storytelling
The second concept focused on relatability, following an HR professional using Deel in their day-to-day workflow. Platform features and company statistics were woven into the interface and environment through motion, aiming to humanise the data and show Deel’s impact in context. This version helped refine how information could be presented creatively without overpowering the message.
Concept 3 — Final Approved Infographic
The final execution took a refined, brand-led approach. Designed as a clean infographic animation, it adhered closely to Deel’s brand guidelines and balanced clarity with visual rhythm. Working alongside Malena Romano, who provided art direction, the piece distilled the most important Year in Review metrics into a concise, social-optimised motion graphic that aligned with Deel’s visual identity and communication goals.
Outcome
The project demonstrates an end-to-end creative process—from experimental storytelling to brand-driven execution—highlighting adaptability, collaboration, and the ability to translate data into engaging motion design.
